The Bastille Day is celebrated on July 14 and is packed with many interesting events. During the morning, you can see the military parade held from the Avenue des Champs-Elysées heading down to the Place de la Concorde and cast your eyes towards the sky to see the thrilling military flypast. You can watch firemen’s balls held at different fire stations in the city during the evening. For classical music fans, Classique au Vert festival at the Parc Floral will be conducted in August. For some free concerts, you can go to the Festival Fnac Live on July 5, 6, and 7.
Cinema fans can consider attending Open Air Cinema Festival at La Villette from July 20 to August 20. Food lovers can head over to the Marais and join a gourmet walk to have bite-sized French delicacies in restaurants nearby just for two Euros.
From the last weeks of summer until July 23, you can visit the Chagall – Malévitch – El Lissitzky exhibition at the Centre Pompidou and until September 9, you can visit the Parcours exhibition at the Musée Yves-Saint-Laurent. Some other exhibitions worth attending include the masters of Symbolism in the Art of the Baltic Countries held at the Musée d’Orsay and Kupka, a tribute to the father of abstraction, at the Grand Palais.
