The City of Lights is a dream city for travelers across the globe. Paris never fails to impress everyone with all its historical and attractive monuments and other famous attractions. If you are planning to go on private tours Paris during the month of July or August, given below are some events you can enjoy during that time.

Bastille Day

The Bastille Day is celebrated on July 14 and is packed with many interesting events. During the morning, you can see the military parade held from the Avenue des Champs-Elysées heading down to the Place de la Concorde and cast your eyes towards the sky to see the thrilling military flypast. You can watch firemen’s balls held at different fire stations in the city during the evening. Do not miss the spectacular fireworks display that is set off from the Eiffel Tower from 11:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and with this event, the Bastille Day comes to a halt.


If you are an electronic music fan, go to the Peacock Society Festival held in the Parc Floral de Paris from July 7 to July 8, and the Les Siestes électroniques held at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac on July 8 and July 9. For classical music fans, Classique au Vert festival at the Parc Floral will be conducted in August. For some free concerts, you can go to the Festival Fnac Live on July 5, 6, and 7.

Cinema fans can consider attending Open Air Cinema Festival at La Villette from July 20 to August 20. Food lovers can head over to the Marais and join a gourmet walk to have bite-sized French delicacies in restaurants nearby just for two Euros.


From the last weeks of summer until July 23, you can visit the Chagall – Malévitch – El Lissitzky exhibition at the Centre Pompidou and until September 9, you can visit the Parcours exhibition at the Musée Yves-Saint-Laurent. Some other exhibitions worth attending include the masters of Symbolism in the Art of the Baltic Countries held at the Musée d’Orsay and Kupka, a tribute to the father of abstraction, at the Grand Palais.

You can also enjoy Arab Music at the Al Musica in Philharmonie de Paris on August 19. Besides, Chris Marker is holding a travel exhibit at the Cinémathèque de Paris from July 29 for a couple of weeks as well.
